Dr. Etienne Aheli, Secretary of the African Universities Union, thanked President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Dr. Mohammed Al-Maharsawi, President of Al-Azhar University, for hosting the students of African universities.
 "I am proud to meet all of you and wonder how time has passed so quickly after four days of wonderful activities by Al Azhar University students and you have shown courage in hosting African university students," he said.
"I felt a sense of perseverance and cooperation that brought us here today, and I would like to express my gratitude and your wonderful hospitality to this Olympics. The only winner today is African students."
 He thanked the Sports Minister for sponsoring this grand ceremony. "My dear students thank you for your spirit in facing the challenges, but I am sure that you have the spirit that will lead you to success," he said.

Secrétaire du visage de l'Union des universités africaines Dr Etienne Ohela, a remercié le Président Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, le plus grand et l'imam Dr Ahmed Al-Tayeb, le cheikh d'Al-Azhar, le Dr Mohammed Mahrasawa Azhar Président, d'accueillir des étudiants africains.
 "Je suis fier de vous rencontrer tous et je me demande comment le temps a passé si rapidement après quatre jours d'activités merveilleuses d'étudiants de l'université Al Azhar et vous avez fait preuve de courage en accueillant des étudiants universitaires africains", a-t-il déclaré.
"J'ai ressenti un sentiment de persévérance et de coopération qui nous a amenés ici aujourd'hui, et j'aimerais exprimer ma gratitude et votre merveilleuse hospitalité pour les Jeux olympiques. Le seul gagnant aujourd'hui est les étudiants africains."
 Il a remercié le ministre des Sports pour avoir parrainé cette grande cérémonie. "Mes chers étudiants, je vous remercie de votre détermination à faire face aux défis, mais je suis sûr que vous avez l'esprit qui vous mènera au succès", a-t-il déclaré.

وجه أمين اتحاد الجامعات الإفريقية الدكتور إتيان أهيلي، الشكر للرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، والإمام الأكبر الدكتور أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، والدكتور محمد المحرصاوي رئيس جامعة الأزهر، على استضافة طلاب الجامعات الإفريقية.
 وقال خلال كلمته: «فخور بأن ألتقي بكم جميعا وأتعجب كيف مر الوقت بهذه السرعة، بعد أربعة أيام من الأنشطة الرائعة التي قام بها طلاب جامعة الأزهر، وأظهرتم الشجاعة في استضافة طلاب الجامعات الافريقية».
وأضاف: « شعرت بروح من المثابرة والتعاون الذي أوصلنا اليوم إلى هنا، وأود التعبير عن امتناني واستضافتكم الرائعة لهذا الأولمبياد، والفائز الوحيد اليوم هم الطلاب الأفارقة».
 وقدم الشكر لوزير الرياضة على رعايته لهذا الحفل الكبير، قائلا: «طلابي الأعزاء أشكركم على روحكم في مواجهة التحديات لكنني على يقين أنكم لديكم الروح التي تقودكم إلى النجاح».

The event was attended by Dr. Ashraf Subhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mohammed Al-Harasawi, President of Al-Azhar University, Dr. Etienne Ahili, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Secretary General of the Union of African Universities, and a number of officials and dignitaries of Egypt and Africa.
