أشاد الدكتور أحمد عمادالدين راضي، وزير الصحة والسكان، بمستشفى جامعة الأزهر التخصصي بمدينة نصر، بانها "صرح طبي كبير وموقع متميز"، جاء ذلك خلال تفقدة صباح اليوم الخميس،المستشفى عقب اجتماعه الأسبوع الماضي مع فضيلة الامام الأكبر الشيخ أحمد الطيب بمشيخة الأزهر. 

واقترح وزير الصحة والسكان بضرورة توافر بعض التخصصات الضرورية مثل المخ والأعصاب وعمليات القلب المفتوح والرمد قبل الافتتاح الرسمي للمستشفى، مع ميكنة النظام وتوفير جميع الاَلات الجراحية والمستلزمات الطبية، كما اقترح انشاء مدرسة للتمريض لتوفير القوى البشرية من الفرق الطبية. 

الجدير بالذكر أن المستشفى في المرحلة الأولى من التشغيل التجريبي وتضم ١٢٠ سرير و٤ غرف عمليات و٦رعاية مركزة و٦ رعاية قلب و٤٨عيادة تخصصية و١٢ جهاز غسيل كلوي وجهاز تفتيت حصوات الكلى وقسم للأشعة به الرنين المغناطيسي ووموجات صوتية وثلاثي ورباعي البعد وجهاز الكشف المبكر عن سرطان الثدي بجانب الخدمات المعاونة من مطبخ وتعقيم.

Dr. Ahmed Emadaldin Radhi, Minister of Health and Population, praised the Specialty Hospital at Al -Azhar University in Nasr City as "a great medical facility and a distinguished location   

This came during His visit to the Hospital on Thursday morning, Followin his meeting with the Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar last week 

The Minister of Health and Population suggested the need for some necessary specialties such as neurosurgery, open heart surgery and ophthalmology before the official opening of the Hospital, with automation of the system and the provision of all surgical instruments and medical supplies, and proposed the establishment of a nursing school to provide manpower from the medical teams 

It is worth mentioning that the hospital is in the first phase of the trial operation. It includes 120 beds, 4 operating rooms, 6 intensive care rooms, 6 heart care rooms, 48 specialized clinics, 12 kidney dialysis devices, kidney stones dissection, radiography department with magnetic resonance, ultrasonic waves, three and four dimensions, early detection  system for breast cancer beside auxiliary services of kitchen and sterilization
