Sports Activities:
This includes the following activities:
1- Professional activity and collective games (football - basketball - volleyball)
2 - Individual tournaments in the following games (athletics - table tennis - marathons)
Social Activities:
This includes the following:
Ideal room contests - Ideal student contests - Chess contests - Social Research - Trips - Public service projects.
Cultural activities:
This includes the following contests:
Holy Qur’an contest - Religious Research contest - Arabic Calligraphy contest - poetry, short story, and essay-writing contests.
Oration contest- holding religious and cultural seminars and workshops - arts and painting contest - and mural bulletins contest.
Social Club:
It offers hot and cold drinks as well as snacks at very reasonable prices
Telephone and Postal Service:
The Student Hostel provides coin and card payphone services near every residential building as well as a post office, a branch for Banque Misr at Tariq Bin Ziad Building in Nasr City.
Medical Service:
The Student Hostel also offers a free medical service for the students; there is a 24-hour standby physician in every accommodation premises, in addition to an ambulance.
Student Hostel library:
There is a public library in Othman Building in Nasr City premises; the number of books in the library is about 3500 in various academic disciplines.
Communication Services:
There are bulletin boards at the student accommodation to post newspapers, advertisements and instructions for students .
Sports venues:
Both Nasr City and Mubarak Student Hostels organize and hold all sports contests of football, basketball and volleyball playgrounds at the Main Sports Stadium.
The Main Mosque:
The Main Mosque is located at the main gate of the Student Hostel; it is the space where religious ceremonies, seminars, meetings and other religious events are held.
Physical Fitness Centers:
There are two fitness centers:
1- Physical Fitness Center in Nasr City Hostels is located at Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Building.
2- Physical Fitness Center in Mubarak Hostel is located at Prof. Ahmed Omar Hashem Building.
Participation in activities offered to students:
1- Joining all activities is free for students; however, they need to apply to participate in the activities at the Student Welfare Office in Nasr City Hostel, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Building or the Student Welfare Office in Mubarak Hostel, Hassan Baccouri Building.
2. There are specialized social workers, athletes and technicians in each office to guide the students.
3. Winners of contests and outstanding students are rewarded with valuable cash prizes.
4- In addition to technical and sports center activities, most contests, activities and seminars are held during the afternoons and evening times.
