Dr. Mohammed Al-Mahrasawi, President of Al-Azhar University, praised the efforts of women within the university, stressing that they have concrete efforts in various faculties of the university internally and externally, pointing out that the first college accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation was the Faculty of Medicine for girls in Cairo. He added, that Al-Azhar University has 13 female deans of the University Council, during a meeting with the female teachers, the participants participated in the training course organized by Al-Azhar Center for Training and Development for 17 trainees from the Islamic Studies Colleges for Girls in Port Said, Al-Khanka, Zagazig, Al-Azhar Girls College on 10th of Ramadan and the Faculty of Home Economics in Tanta. Which reflects the interest of the Al-Azhar Foundation under the leadership of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and its belief in the role of women in society.
He stressed that the university is keen to train, qualify and build the capacity of the faculty members and the supporting body in the various faculties of the university in Cairo and the regions to raise their administrative expertise. He pointed out that the system of reform and administrative development at Al-Azhar University was launched with the aim of improving the quality of the educational process evidenced by the fact that 8 colleges to be accredited and 10 other colleges are now reviewed.
