Admission requirements for dormitories
First: For continuing students (after the first year):
• The student must have achieved at least a "good" degree.
• The student must not be from the governorate, including its districts, where the dormitory is located.
• The student must not have been subjected to a previous deprivation from stay.
• The student must have applied to stay in the dormitory on due date.
• The student must have submitted the required documents and papers.
Second: For new students (holders of Al-Azhar Secondary School Certificate):
• The student must have Al-Azhar Secondary School Certificate, and must have been accepted by Al-Azhar University Admission’s Coordination Office.
• The student must not be from the governorate, including its districts, where the dormitory is located.
• The student must have applied to stay in the dormitory on due date.
• The student must have submitted the required documents and papers.
Third: Exceptional cases:
The exceptional cases are limited in the following:
Sickness cases:
(Blind – obstructing paralysis - Parkinson's disease – obstructing amputation – critical sickness cases which require staying near the university). The person with the above mentioned cases shall provide a medical certificate proving the case, approved by the University's General Directorate of Medical Affairs and the medical committees appointed by it.
Death of father:
The death has to be during the university year (within one year from the date of death till the beginning of the new university year).
Disasters:
A disaster which affects the student socially.
