In its very first time to participate in the Enactus worldcup entrepreneurship, Enactus Egypt, Al-Azhar university team broke the grounds.

In its first time to participate in local entrepreneurship competition, Al-Azhar University Enactus team miraculously won first place among Egyptian governmental and private universities, defeating 56 Egyptian university teams. It then qualified to represent Egypt (the sole representative of Egypt) in the worldcup Competition.

Al-Azhar University Media center pointed out that Al-Azhar University Enactus team contested in the world competition against teams of 32 countries from different world continents.

Al-Azhar University Enactus team broke local boundaries and reached out to the world by wining first place in the international competition defeating all world teams. It thus became holder of world champion title of this formidable international competition which has been held continually each year for long. It defeated the Canadian, American, German, Indian, Chinese, Korean, Brazilian and all other participating teams totaling 32 and representing the most distinguished and prestigious universities in their home countries.

The media center pointed out that his major achievement  came as a result of the major and continual support and sponsorship provided to the team by officials of the prestigious institution of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, on top of whom were his Eminence Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, and his eminence President of the University Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Mahrasway.
