The delegation of Al-Azhar University in Khartoum headed by Dr. Yousif Amer, Vice-President of Al-Azhar University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Union of African Universities and the Union of Sudanese Universities on the sidelines of the opening of the Regional Office of the African Universities Union for East Africa.
Amer and his delegation traveled at the invitation of the President of the University of Khartoum to discuss the cooperation frameworks and the contribution of Al-Azhar in the transfer of expertise in the fields of religious and medical.
The Vice President said that the meeting with the President of the University of Khartoum was aimed at exchanging views on aspects of cooperation in education, scientific research and exchange of experiences within the framework of the participation of Al-Azhar University in the opening of the regional office of the Union of African Universities at the University of Khartoum.
Amer presented to the President of the University of Khartoum the publications of Al-Azhar Observatory to combat extremism in addition to the publications of Al-Azhar Center for Translation.
The President of the University of Khartoum presented the shield of the University to the head of the delegation of Al-Azhar University, praising the role of Al-Azhar and its importance in maintaining moderation and moderation. He stressed the importance of benefiting from Al-Azhar.
