The Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, is organizing its first international conference under the theme "Agriculture and Future Challenges" in the framework of its continuous and continuous efforts to obtain quality and accreditation. He announced that the first conference will be held under the auspices of the Grand Imam of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Mohamed Al-Mahrasawi, President of the University, from 10 to 12 April 2018. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdel-Rafi El-Shafei, Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mohamed El Asmar El Hawary, Vice Dean for Education and Students, Dr. Khalid Al-Khawas, Director of the Quality Unit, Quality Unit as Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Hisham Khalifa, Former Vice President of the Scientific Committee. He pointed out that the conference aims to present and discuss the latest researches and scientific innovations that help increase production and agricultural sector and meet the future challenges in line with the directions of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He pointed out one of the most important challenges discussed by the conference, And the scarcity of water, in addition to the scientific benefit through the exchange of ideas among participants from different countries of the world, in order to access the latest scientific methods to increase production and agricultural quota, and improve the productivity of farm animals, Suitable for future challenges, next to addressing the latest scientific research in order to improve the efficiency of the use of irrigation water, as well as to discuss ways to improve the efficiency of the use of agricultural chemicals, and the relationship between climate change and food security. He added that the themes of the first conference address the recent trends in plant production and animal production, new and modern in the field of pest control and diseases, as well as the development of water resources and land. He added that the topics include the applications of biotechnology in agriculture, the application of geographical information in agriculture, The course deals with economic and social variables and their impact on agriculture in Egypt, and modern methods in food and dairy technology.
